Jekalyn Carr Gains Two NAACP Image Award Nods
The nominees for the NAACP Image Awards have officially been unveiled, and the 57th edition arrives with a powerful slate of honorees across film, television, music, and literature — celebrating the depth, brilliance, and beauty of Black creativity over the past year.
And shining bright in that constellation is Praise 102.5’s very own multi-award-winning gospel artist, speaker, author, entrepreneur, and midday host of The Jekalyn Carr Show, Jekalyn Carr, who has earned two NAACP Image Award nominations this year.
She’s nominated for
Outstanding Gospel/Christian Song for her soaring single “Don’t Faint,”
and Outstanding Gospel/Christian Album for Jekalyn X: The Legends (WayNorth Music).
Two nods. One voice. A whole lot of purpose.
The 57th NAACP Image Awards will air live Saturday, February 28, 2026, from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Select categories will be announced during the two-hour televised special beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT on BET, with a simulcast on the CBS Television Network.
Looks like Jekalyn didn’t just bring the song — she brought the whole choir. And the flowers? Oh, they’re well-deserved.
